Melissa's paintings are designed to capture the beauty of nature and frequently feature seasonal fruit and flowers. The strong sense of realism is created by combining her still life compositions with the intense colour of oils.
Memories of her childhood growing up in the Cotswolds and happy days spent with her grandmother are often found in her work. A posy of flowers, a china teacup or a vintage glass are reminiscent of this.
Melissa now lives in the New Forest, Hampshire, but memories of those early years in the Cotswold are never far away.
Melissa exhibits her work in Lymington and the Cotswolds.
